Slower pace

We are "home" now in Sisters, OR and MAN does it feel nice. Feels like, eh hem, home. There is snow on the ground, a very still but chilly air, and homemade EVERYTHING. I'm in heaven.

Kellen got to come home with MorMor and BoPa so it's been fun getting some quiet time with him. And since Tyler is with Grandma Sandi for a few days, Jessica is loving getting to know Kellen as she's always very "distracted" with pink things and princess dresses--oh and of course her FAVORITE cousin Ella Bella. :) They play really well together. Kellen wasn't so sure at first about his options (Jessica and Isaac) for playing but seems to have found out real quick that Jessica will laugh at pretty much ANYTHING he does. And what's not fun about that??

It's a known fact that babies/kids just do better here at MorMor and BoPa's house. They eat veggies, take long naps, say please, thank you and excuse me, and sometimes even sleep in. This is like the best kid hotel on the planet so it's no surprise. Breakfast is made to order, lunch is ready before you even ask, snack is something yummy and dinner is AMAZING. Plus there is always dessert...even if you don't clear your plate, like you have to at home. The beds are GINORMOUS with the best smelling blankets and sheets. The hugs are non stop and you can play in the hot tub instead of taking a bath.

Josh drives in tomorrow afternoon, Robbie, Karly, Ella and Mia won't be too far behind him and then Kristen flies in around 10 pm. Wil doesn't get in till the 1st, and our family Christmas is that same night. With all the food we just bought at Costco today, I'm pretty sure we'll only have time to eat and sleep--two of my favorite things.

I do enjoy our visits down here. We've even talked about moving here, but always come to the conclusion that too much of a good thing isn't good.

You can't live on vacation.

(here are a few old shots, but gives you an idea of what and who we're talking about here)

Good grief...it sounds like a dream vacation. Can I book a room? Say hi to your wonderful family for me!
