Confusing

Today has been a "confusing day."  The kids seem to be confusing instruction for suggestion.  Nap time for play time. English for German.  Boredom for hunger.  Integrity for deceit.  No, don't make a fort with blankets in the living room for sure, go ahead--you could even use lamps for weights.

And right now, I'm going to confuse what I want to do with what I NEED to do.  Time to run around the yard in the rain and PLAY.  I need it.  They want that.

Maybe it's not so confusing.....

Good call. That sort of behavior signals needs not being met. They are fortunate to be at home where you have the freedom to cancel the schedule and allow them to be and to cultivate them.
