It's one of my favorite times of the year----FOSCARS!!
Tonight was our 3rd Annual FOSCAR party. (For those of you that are totally lost, FOS is the name of our youth group and a FOSCAR is the "Earthly Reward" you receive at the end of each year.)
This is one of my favorite nights because it is spent with almost all of my favorite people, and we just laugh and eat and hear nice things about ourselves. The stories behind each FOSCAR is probably the best thing of the night. Either that, or waiting for Pastor Andrew to cry. I can't decide.
This year Josh received the "Steppin' Up" award for stepping up at FOS SC '08 (FOS summer camp '08). For a first time camp staffer, Josh did amazingly well. Really took on his whole cabin and went beyond the call of duty.
As for me, I received my third FOSCAR. (First one being the "Mother Hen Award." Second one being "Producing Offspring.") This year the "Genealogy" award. Meaning in the evolution of my time on staff--going from protective Mother Hen to finding my niche and leading a small group and veteran camp staffer to now seeing fruit on my "family tree." Having a group of middle school girls that most of them started out brand new to church, not walking with the Lord, and looking the part of VERY anti-Christian girls. Fast forward to a large solid group of mainly high schoolers, recently baptized, and more than half of them on Student Leadership Team! PRAISE GOD!! 
Quite possibly the most amazing group of people you could ever surround yourself with.
