It was such a blast...as always. Grandma and Grandpa pulled their trailer, mom and dad pulled their little trailer, Pop camped in his Avalanche, Aaron and April tent camped, as did we.
On the drive down Hwy 101, we stopped off in Tillamook to get some yummy ice cream and watch them make my favorite cheese. We had a tiny panic attack when we realized that Tyler had left our camera sitting on the bumper of the car, but it was right there when they went back to get it. Whew.
We didn't do much but sit around the campfire this year...but that was sorda why it was so great. Very relaxing. We also played my two favorite games Wits and Wagers and we taught Aaron and April how to play Tripoley Fan Tan. They did VERY well considering we are a very competitive bunch. Sorry Benners. :)
The kids had fun. Getting dirty and playing in the fire whenever BoPa allowed them to. We ate super yummy food everyday and enjoyed even better desserts every night. Ice cream sundaes complete with grilled peaches...TO DIE FOR. And S'mores--OBVIOUSLY.We built this corral contraption for Isaac to feel independent and feel like he was camping, without eating sand and dirt by the fist full. He LOVED it. It was a very good idea on my behalf :) tee hee
We stopped at Ikea in Portland on the drive home to eat and play. I love that place...

Looks like a fun camping trip! We'll have to have a playdate when our car finally arrives from CT. We're hoping to make it up there for a day or two in August.
Whoa...I hope CPS doesn't see that cage....hehehehehe!! Seriously, we had a BLAST and would love to do it again next year...maybe a little closer?????

Wow, what fun! I LOVE LOVE camping!! Ross and I are going to take a camping trip this August and start making it a family tradition. All my greatest memories of my family time growing up are while camping!! *Love the Wildlife Viewing Area sign!* You all are too fun!
MMMMMMMmmmmmmm....I LOVE Tillamook Ice-cream! Seeing your photos makes me anxious for our little fam vacay to the Oregon Coast we have planned for September...
